The Consequences of Running Windows XP

So Windows XP will no longer be supported by Microsoft in any way as of April 8, 2014.  That's next month.  If you are not planning to upgrade, here are some possible consequences:

• hackers will find vulnerabilities that will no longer be addresses, making your XP machine a target. (Read this article for how vulnerabilities are found)
• opening your business, accounting & customer data up to loss or theft (see above)
• loss of support from other apps running in XP--expect increased fingerpointing.
• productivity costs rise due inefficiency in running old, slow hardware.
