Antivirus tips for small business.
Today, I want to talk about antivirus. We had a client the other day ask me, ‘Hey, I’ve spent all this money on antivirus. Do I really need that and is that working for me?’
And it’s interesting if you read on the Internet there’s a movement out there from some of the big titans out, CEO of Intel I believe, recently chimed in about how antivirus is not useful anymore.
Well, we disagree. Antivirus will stop any old threat that the antivirus companies have kind of discovered over the years. I know there are still out there and the antivirus still evolving and becoming more useful as time goes by with heuristics and pattern recognition and things like what you're doing, what your computer is doing as a kind of culture with what your computer typically does.
We’re getting better so but we consider antivirus to be kind of the entry level of security. It’s the baseline and what start with and we think there’s a lot more that should be done. In future videos I’ll talk about some of the things that we do for our clients to further protect them beyond the antivirus, portable things and things that are important to keep the computer safe, keep your information safe and to keep in you in business.
